Tianeptine or Stablon belongs to a group of drugs called antidepressants. The preparation works by stimulating the reuptake of serotonin by the neurons of the cerebrum and hippocampus. The preparation must not be taken in cases of:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation
- Young age prior to 15 years

- CNS: dizziness, headache, insomnia, daily somnolence, decreased concentration, nightmares, asthenia, fainting, tremor
- Cardiovascular system: tachycardia, extrasystole, angina
- Respiratory system: discomfort during breathing, difficulty breathing
- Gastrointestinal tract: dry mouth, anorexia, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation, meteorism
- Other: heat sensation, flushing, pain syndrome
