How does the medication work?
The preparation exerts anti-hypertensive effects. The drug works by inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme. Inhibits synthesis of angiotensin, thus decreases its vasoconstrictive effects and aldosterone secretion. It also increase the activity of renin in plasma. The drug inhibits bradykinins metabolism. The preparation also decreases overall peripheral resistance without affecting the renal blood flow.
