How does the medication work?
The drug works by selectively blocking angiotensin II receptors. It does not affect kinaza II enzyme the affects the degradation of bradykinins. The drug decreases overall peripheral resistance, concentration of norepinephrine and aldosterone, arterial pressure, pressure in the pulmonary blood circle. It also decreases afterload, exerts diuretic effect.
