Tenormin is a selective adrenoblocker. Which mainly affects beta-1-adrenoreceptors of the heart. The drug does not exert internal sympathomimetic and membrane stabilizing effects. The drug exerts antihypertensive effects which are manifested within the first 24 hours after the beginning of the administration. The preparation also exerts antianginal effect which is caused by a decrease in cardiac rate.
