How does the medication work?
Medication for the male-type baldness treatment. Stimulates hair growth and reduce hair loss. Selectively blocks the activity of the fifth alpha reductase (type 2), an enzyme responsible for the activity of certain androgens (male hormones). Finasteride, by clocking this enzyme, lowers blood level of DHT and initially was developed for the treatment of enlarged prostate.
