Allergan, the leading and pioneering company in eye care, dermatology and medical aesthetics, has introduced a range of products to the world, including LATISSE, the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment for inadequate or not enough eyelashes, that makes them grow longer, fuller and darker. This product has no analogues and its effectiveness is proved by multiple clinical tests.
The active ingredient of Latisse is bimatoprost, a drug that affects the structure of eyelashes and stimulates their growth. Today bimatoprost is the only substance that stimulates eyelashes growth.
There is no difference between generic Latisse / Bimatoprost and Brand but one except the price. Generic Latisse contains the same active ingredient as brand medication and possesses the same therapeutic effect.
Why Consulting a Doctor?
The side effects may come as a big surprise, when buying LATISSE without doctor's prescription.
Latisse's side effects may include a transient darkening of the skin around the eyelids and/or brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye (which may remain permanently).
Usually the instruction contains the most important information about the drug LATISSE. However sometimes the drug might be prescribed to treat symptoms not mentioned in the information leaflets for patients.
How to apply LATISSE?
LATISSE is being sold in a 3 ml bottles. The recommended dose is one application nightly to the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes only.
Before applying cleanse the face thoroughly and remove contact lenses. Then, holding the sterile applicator horizontally, apply one drop at LATISSE applicator closest to the tip but not on the tip. Then, immediately draw the applicator carefully along the skin at the base of the upper eyelashes, starting at the inside moving to the outside of the eye. Do not use the applicator more than once.
Repeat the same steps for the second eyelid, using a new applicator. This will help reduce the risk of eyelid infection from one eyelid to another.
Avoid contaminating the applicator tip and bottleneck with material from the fingers or other sources that might cause ocular infections.
Avoid eye and the lower eyelid contact with the product. Only use the sterile applicators supplied with LATISSE.
If you miss an application, don't try to make up. Just apply the Latisse treatment the next evening and stay on schedule. Use LATISSE once a day. Application of LATISSE more than once a day does not accelerate the growth of eyelashes and does not increase the effect of the drug.
50% of patients using LATISSE during the clinical experiment, saw a significant improvement in 2 months after starting the treatment.
